It's come to my attention that underwear is being stolen as some sort of a fad.
It's not as if I can't find the money to buy myself more. Rather, it's a little exciting, isn't it? To be thrown into the same position as a commoner... but I thought this was something that only happened with girls?
That aside, I thought I'd warn you all that there was a thief on the loose. It's not as if we live in a world where anything like "heroes" exist, after all, and so I doubt this would come to a stop even if it was reported. What should those in power care about the small struggles of the people, after all? It's not some fairy tale where an item as mundane as underwear might bring you to some grand story.
That's also an interesting topic, don't you think? What do you all think of "heroes?" After all, aren't we all trapped somewhere without escape? In fairy tales, wouldn't this be the perfect chance to be "rescued" by some fabled knight in shining armor? Fufu... I think it's amusing, how things can be painted so far from reality and still dreamed of by unknowing children.
Well, but those are just my thoughts, so I'm interested in hearing all of yours, as well. ♪
P.S. To whoever the culprit might be, if they can read this, I don't need that underwear returned. In the future, simply refrain from stealing it.
I see. You must have been exposed to heroes that don't deserve to brandish the title. However, it's within my belief that humans tend to see any who fight for justice as 'heroes', no matter how strong or how common they might be.
Heroes are meant to fight for the side of justice. Offering their aid to those who need, establishing order, ensuring that their people live a life of comfort and safety. Any who threaten that lifestyle is considered an enemy, and cannot be called a hero. They might be owners of immeasurable power, or even a simple commoner, a policeman if necessary. Are you against such a mentality, Eichi Tenshouin?
I'd hardly call having underclothing stolen a discovery. Perhaps the thief might call it a "discovery" as they are the active party. But the one whose clothing has been stolen has done nothing of merit, they are only the victim of an extremely vulgar prank.
As fantastical as our current situation is, dreaming about a ‘hero’ coming to our rescue is entirely out of the realm of possibility. They’re stories, even if everyday heroes do exist on a smaller scale.
Additionally, why would you not want your underwear returned if it was stolen??
That's exactly my point. It's nothing more than a dream, a fantastic tale, right? Whatever small scale "heroes" you have in mind are probably nothing close to the definition in reality, either.
Ah, but it's because they were most likely stolen by a pervert, you see. I'm uninterested in having them back when I have no idea what may have happened to them.
I see... I didn't have much of a childhood, you know, and so I never was able to read stories like that. Fairy tales or fantasy tales of these "heroes" that save the day... To me, I can't understand the interest in something so far fetched.
Heroes don't have to be knights in shining armour who save princesses trapped in towers after defeating countless monsters. Why would you even want to sit and wait for someone to save you when you can try and figure a way out yourself? Whatever heroes Moonblessed may have, they definitely won't be someone we have to wait for. We'll have to create these heroes ourselves.
It's also the middle of the night. You'll have to excuse my incoherent thoughts.
Please go to bed soon, Eichi. Everyone else should go to bed, too.

You idealism is charming, Weiss-chan, but not everyone can go out and become a hero, no matter how hard they try. You need strength, and power, and the ability to do whatever it takes to reach your goal, no matter the cost... A "hero" who killed thousands for the greater good, and a villain who slaughtered just as many for their own idea of reality... Are they truly so different?
So, I'm only saying that the world isn't so black and white as in fairy tales. I've been looking for miracles, but it's something different...
Still, I do believe the world is beautiful, thanks to this.
I'll sleep as soon as my body allows for it, since I'm having some difficulty breathing. I hope you'll be resting soon, as well?
There are quite a few things to address in your response, here, but isn't there one thing that was casually glossed over? America and Germany...? He? Why was he used there?

Underwear can be washed, there’s no reason to consider them a lost cause unless they have a hole in them.

I liked hero stories growing up. It was nice to imagine someone able to make everything right again and rescue people.
[Unrealistic ultimately, but books were a comfort to the children at the orphanage, not a cure.]
But the underwear situation needs to stop. I'm starting to worry about doing laundry.
