And what do you consider a "hero" to be, then? Who would deserve to brandish that title?

In your definition, any ruler can be called a hero, then? Those who slaughter for the sake of their own people, who hide behind thinly veiled "justice" and defend everything as such. Those covered in the bloodspray of their enemies, all for defending the people?

There are two sides to every war, of course, and so each side has their own heroes. An enemy to some, a hero to others... and yet they move selfishly forward, to create more land, gain more power, earn more wealth, under the guise of this noble defense. For the people.

I'm only saying that it's interesting they'd be hailed as such when their enemies are brought down for the same actions.

You expect men to act like gods, deciding which murder is or isn't rightful, but not to fall victim to selfishness? Isn't it human to be selfish? Isn't it natural to search out more, and for the sake of others, give in to that darkness?

To imply that every person who goes off the path of your idea of "justice" is a monster is something laughable and childlike, I think.

Those are all traits any human should have. By existing at all, isn't greed normal? I don't understand what sort of higher being you must imagine can be a hero. Angels, perhaps?

Even angels and God have killed more people than the Devil ever did, you know? I've been told that in the past, too...

I apologize if I assumed incorrectly, but that's the feeling I get from the sort of person you are, Arjuna-san. It's interesting, however, that you must think that everyone is an enemy. I wonder what position this puts you in? It doesn't sound like the thoughts of a hero, to me. So what are you, if you don't mind me asking?

Ahaha. I see, you live in a perfect world? Where men can become something greater, abandon all sense of "self" and live for the people, and "gods" don't kill in their smiting. How wonderful! Congratulations. In that case, I would have to say that I can't consider your world anything like my reality...

But, you say that you're a hero under those standards? So, you no longer have the right to bear ill-feelings? Have you been keeping that up, Arjuna-san? I'm curious to hear about that. I wonder if anyone else might know?

A lack of proof doesn't mean that something isn't true, you know? Assumptions are natural. I'm certain you must assume some things about me.

But if you'd like to prove me wrong, then go ahead and tell me this: are you, perhaps, bearing any ill-feelings towards me now? Are you fit to be a hero by your own standards?

I'm curious to see where you go from here... Arjuna-san. ♪

[Ahh, a much cleaner response. Well, it just means that Eichi will have to try harder. As much as he'd like to believe that heroes are something that exist in that way... as much as he wants to think it, he's never seen it for himself. So of course he wants to test it at every angle he can.

Of course he wants to be proven wrong.

But he doesn't think he will be.]

What a relief. It had seemed, for a moment, with your typing style, that I might have troubled you in some way... But I'd hate for that to be the case, you know?

After all... I believe we should all get along.

Thank you, hero.
