Hm? You don't think it's exciting to experience new things in life? There's always so much more to discover.

I'd hardly call having underclothing stolen a discovery. Perhaps the thief might call it a "discovery" as they are the active party. But the one whose clothing has been stolen has done nothing of merit, they are only the victim of an extremely vulgar prank.

But I've never been stolen from like this before! I used to live in a large mansion with guards posted at every door, you see? It's as if I'm living the life of a commoner.

As did I! Once I relocated I did not have that luxury and I still did not consider it "fun" when it happened to me.

Aside from having or not having guards, I do not believe that this is something relegated to commoners. I'm fairly certain that there are some who take a specific interest in snatching the underclothing of the nobility.

Fufu... So, it really is a widespread problem? How unusual...

Ah, but, perhaps it's that I'm destined to have a short life that has me admiring every small piece of it that I can experience. What do you think?

I'm not sure of that. But it has happened to me and I knew exactly who it was immediately.

That is one way of looking at it. I would worry that seeing too much positive would prevent one from being able to weed out the negative.

That only makes me curious, you know?

Also, you don't have to worry about that. It's the ugly, dirty and terrible things that are what make the world so beautiful. How could we appreciate things, otherwise?
edle_gestalt: (oh...)

[personal profile] edle_gestalt 2019-04-09 01:03 am (UTC)(link)
It was an old enemy of mine and he absolutely was perverted about it, I found him using them as a handkerchief. Utterly mortifying.

I think it's sometimes true that we can appreciate the beautiful things in life more when we've faced hardship. I also find that too much hardship can make finding beauty more difficult. So, I don't find the hardship itself beautiful.

But it is true; one can take beauty for granted if they are too comfortable.

[...ewww.]

I'm sorry to hear that.

As someone who has merely staying alive as a "hardship," I suppose my experiences are a little different. There's beauty in that, as well, I think.
