[ At an actually decent time of day, the chat bursts into life with a question: ]

It's been weeks and I've met people who call me "Weisschan" and "Schneesan". Is that some kind of tradition in some other world?

It's too cutesy for me. That's not my image.
scarsnstripes: (3K5FuRd)

[personal profile] scarsnstripes 2019-04-16 03:49 am (UTC)(link)
Tradition? It's just how you address people where I come from.

[He supposes it wouldn't be something other worlds had, but it surprised him anyway.]
schmisse: (✧ sing)

[personal profile] schmisse 2019-04-16 04:31 am (UTC)(link)
I see. So it's customary, then?

[ She was previously not into it, but if that's how it is... then she doesn't want to disrespect culture. ]

[personal profile] scarsnstripes 2019-04-16 04:39 am (UTC)(link)
More or less?

It's more respectful to call someone by 'Chan' or 'San' than to just use their name so informally. 'Chan' is cuter and for girls.

[personal profile] schmisse 2019-04-16 04:44 am (UTC)(link)
What do you call boys, then?
scarsnstripes: (pic#12267690)

[personal profile] scarsnstripes 2019-04-16 04:47 am (UTC)(link)
'Kun' usually! My coworkers at home usually address me as 'Atsushi-kun'.
schmisse: (✧ her name was salem)

Now that you mention it
You do seem like a Weiss-chan.

It's two syllables...
Describes a certain type of appeal.
Maybe our resident idol can tell you more.

Honorifics are usually too formal for me, but Weiss-chan has a good ring to it
Doesn't it?

Some people would do that! People also happen to be very silly if they're describing me as "cute".

Arguing the matter like that doesn’t really help, lol
There are probably worse things to be than cute.

I'm just curious.
menphina: (left for us here)

[personal profile] menphina 2019-04-16 04:37 am (UTC)(link)
It's an honorific. Weiss-san and Schnee-san is like calling you "Miss" in the common tongue.

You're more Weiss-hime like the princess I looked out for, though. Not that I called her that because she's cute like you.
schmisse: (277)

[personal profile] schmisse 2019-04-16 04:46 am (UTC)(link)
I see. Then that's not so bad.

Weiss-hime seems a bit too much. I'm not a princess.

It's affectionate, but you're just sweet Weiss to me. I suppose that can be any fond implication you'd like.

I hope my workouts haven't been too strenuous for you.

I thought I'd use it to indicate our relationship as friends, where it's formal enough to be added on, but not so formal to create unnecessary distance. Does it bother you, Weiss-chan?

[personal profile] schmisse 2019-04-16 12:47 pm (UTC)(link)

Oh, that's correct! Atsushi-kun is a great teacher after all. How wonderful. Please feel free to call me Eichi-kun, if you'd like. ♪ This Eichi-kun of yours will be quite pleased.

Ah, of course, just "Eichi" is fine, as well.
